What to Expect

We want you to know that whether you have been attending church your whole life or are just beginning to explore the idea of faith, you are welcome here at Sunset Ministry. Our Sunday morning worship service last just under 90 minutes, we are generally dressed in a casual and contemporary manner, so please come dressed as you feel most comfortable. Our music runs the spread from, modern to contemporary with an occasional hymn. The messages are aimed to help us practically explore faith, the issues of life and walk in unison with the Lord Jesus Christ. We have programs for children of all ages, including nursery for ages up to three years old, Sunday school for children, middle and high schoolers.

We are a very diverse group of people with one thing in common, as our mission statement says we want to Know Him and Make Him Known. It is our hope that you will come and visit us soon, and when you are tired of visiting us join us.

The following will help you gain a sense of how our services are orchastrated.

Worship is the act of freely giving ourselves out of love to God in an expression of awe, praise, submission, and respect.

Call to Worship
A call to worship is a song, scripture or reading to let us know that the worship time is beginning, and to help us prepare our hearts, minds, and spirits to enter the presence of God.
Greeting Time
The greeting time is an opportunity to meet and say hello to those around you.
Sunday School
Sunday School is a special worship and teaching time for children and young people up through 12th grade. There is also a full service nursery available for those three years old and younger. (Please remember to pick up your children at the end of worship!
Prayer is a time set aside to talk to God, which can include thanksgiving, praise, asking forgiveness, bringing our concerns to Him, or general dialogue. Please share your concerns or praises with the congregation during this time, or you may write them on the back of the contact card.
An offering is a voluntary gift of love to God as an act of worship. The gift can be financial, time, or talents. If you are visiting with us all we ask is that you fill out one of our contact cards and place it in the offering plate as it passes near the end of the service.

A time to spend with the Lord as we reflect on what Jesus has done in giving His life for us. If you have received Christ in your heart, please take the communion elements. After silent prayer, you may partake as the Lord leads.
