2021 Pledge

October 8th, 2020

Dearest Church Family:

Our stewardship campaign theme for 2020-2021, is “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews11:1). We chose this theme for several reasons: First, We are men and women of faith, and in these trying times we must hold onto the definition of faith the Father and the Scriptures have given us. Secondly, the next verse, verse two, says by this men and women of old gained approval. As women and men of God, we walk by faith not by sight, and each of us wants to walk and live with the approval of our Father.

Thirdly, because we are men and women of faith, we must be about the business of the kingdom and that is as our Church mantra says, “To know Him and to make Him known.”  Through our faithful giving, we have seen how the Father has used us to bless the community and the kingdom around us. During this pandemic we have seen how the Father has used our church, to impact not only our local community, but people and families nationally and globally.

Because of our commitment to Christ men and women around the globe have gotten to know and walk with Him in fruitful and intimate relationships. We know this is not only because of the letters we have received as we have blessed people with our Covid 19 fund. But also because the prayer request, and comments that people have sent us from as far away as Australia, South America, and Africa in response to our social media postings and videos. The Father is calling us as his people to live our lives of faith as reality, particularly now, before the men and women we serve and minister to.

As we enter into a time of prayer regarding our tithing giving for the next year, remember this year’s stewardship theme: “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Also remember, that everything about us, the ways we serve, give and minister reflect how we personally trust the Father in our lives.

As a member or friend of the Sunset Ministry family, I’m asking you to pray and ask the Father to help you know and follow Him. Ask Him to help you use the resources He has given you, with hearts and minds of faith, to impact His Kingdom and help others know Him and make Him known. I am also asking you to take up this challenge, if you have not yet trusted the Father by giving a full tithe (10%) to try Him, trust Him and rely on His faithfulness. Pray through Hebrews 11:1 and trust the Father. It may be difficult at first, but look for the Father’s blessing, provision and leading as you trust Him in this area of your life

Now, take a moment and pray through the above then fill out the pledge card and mail or email it back to us by commitment Sunday November 1st at 10:00am. During the service, that Sunday, we will have a time of prayer and personal commitment of our resources, time, gifts, skills and talents to the Father that He may continue to use us to enlarge His kingdom.

Be blessed today
