Four promises The Father gives us regarding our real lives,
that is our life with Him now and in the future.
This thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they [that’s you] may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). – John 10:10
For as these qualities are yours and increasingly abound in you, they will keep [you] from being idle or unfruitful unto the [full personal] knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). For whoever lacks these qualities is blind, [spiritually] shortsighted, seeing only what is near to him, and has become oblivious [to the fact] that he was cleansed from his old sins. Thus there will be richly and abundantly provided for your entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. – 2 Peter 1:8-9, 11
Accordingly God also, in His desire to show more convincingly, and beyond doubt, to those who were to inherit the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose and plan, intervened (mediated) with an oath. This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us]. – Hebrews 6:17-18
And this is what He Himself has promised us – the life, the eternal [life]. – 1 John 2:25
He who possesses the Son has that life; he who does not possess the Son God does not have that life. – 1 John 5:12
